Corner Sofa – Would you have one?

5th September 2013 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

One of our Living room’s main feature is our sofa. It’s the place we gather as a family after work and school, we sit, we chat, we play games, we have fun and we cuddle. Nothing beats a cuddle on the sofa. There are so many memories, if only the sofa could talk. It’s had painted hand prints on it, sticky fingers on it, baby puke, baby food thrown at it and many other things. However, it’s seen lots of love and it’s nursed us when we are sick. We’ve grown as a family since we have this sofa and my children have grown up with this sofa.
At present we have a leather sofa, I hate leather, to be honest, well, I hate the smell of it, but it seemed like the best idea at the time where it could be wiped clean. It only smelled of leather for a few months, now it’s more than worn in. When we lived in our first home together it was a flat and we had a fab corner sofa. It was a fabric one, blue in colour and was not dissimilar to the British handmade large corner sofas made by 123sofa.co.uk. I loved my corner sofa and will definitely be going to 123Sofa next time.
I love how the corner sofa can segregate part of a room into the living area and the other section into a dining area or play area. When you have a small living space, like a flat it’s important to utilise it to it’s full potential. This is what I tried to do with our corner sofa.
In the living room we have just now we have two doors, two windows and a fireplace so a corner sofa is not practical as it would block one of the doors, however if we close one of the doors off and get a door to connect to the kitchen from the hallway, then we could get a corner sofa.
This is a long way off but it is something that is at the back of my mind as I really did love our corner sofa. That gorgeous blue soft fabric, I can imagine me and my kiddies snuggling up together with daddy of course, under a wee blanket watching a movie. Just perfect.
What do you think? What kind of sofa would you like? We not click here to see what 123sofa has to offer. There is also a chance to win a corner sofa on their website. I’ve entered I’m hoping to win one and then worry about the door, it’s over rated right?
