Baby Products I Love For The Next Stage

19th July 2013 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

Cosy Play Mat
CosyPlay Mat:- If you have a wooden floor like me or tiled floor then having a baby who is rolling about on it can be a bit uncomfortable. Normal play mats aren’t very thick and can be sore on little ones body’s. The CosyPlay Mat is perfect it is huge, super soft, thick and comfortable due to the memory foam that’s inside, the top layer unzips for washing. The bottom layer is waterproof, great for picnics outside or for a day on the grass. No need to worry about them being uncomfortable on a thin blanket. The CosyPlay Mat comes in various different coverings, one to suit every little baby. This mat is great for tummy time,  rolling and baby’s trying to sit. It’s so soft, comfy and spongy I can’t praise this enough. The cost of these is £85.
Tidy TimeTidy Time:- Baby’s may be small but they accumulate so much stuff. There toys are small but they seem to multiply on a daily basis and hurt when you stand on them, it’s like standing on a plug, ouch. If you have this problem you need Tidy Time. Tidy Time is a fabric box which un-clips to become a mat for your baby to play with his toys on. These are especially good for Grandparent’s houses. The toys can be easily stored and have a portable play mat for visits. Different materials can be picked for the outside and the inside. We have a fairy print on the inside. Creates a great place to play in seconds with the toys inside. Love this. These cost £39.95, which may seem a little expensive, but they are handmade and well made at that. Practical and look good.

Baby Banana BrushBaby Banana Brushes:- These are an awesome product from accross the US. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but they’ve been fab, so much so several of my friends have ordered them and I’ve ordered more. I tried out the Banana brush and the Octopus one. Aria loved the banana brush, it was easy to hold, a great texture and soft on the gums. Aria has an incisor tooth coming as her first tooth so not a lot of teething rings reach this far and a lot are really hard. These are squidgy yet firm, hard to describe the texture, but I’m sold on them. Not only can the baby chew, get relief, hold it easily from a young age, they are also getting used the texture of a brush. I really love these and they look pretty cool too. At £7.99 they are slightly more expensive, but they are fab.

Baby Bed BlocksSpacebabies Baby Bed Blocks:- There is nothing worse for disturbing your baby’s sleep than your baby having a cold. I don’t know about you, but I wish I could take it away from them. I bought these baby bed blocks when I had Lucas he was so little and always snuffly, turns out he had asthma. I’ve used these for both Tyler and Aria, they are fab. You can vary the height you want to angle the cot at and they work on any bed, cot or Moses basket. I have even given them as a baby gift. Those, a humidifier and Vicks on the feet are my top tips for a baby cold. What are yours?
Babasac Sleeping BagBabasac Sleeping Bag:- Living in Scotland we have very cold weather, but recently we’ve had some very warm weather and it’s difficult to know what to put your baby in to sleep. The Babasac changes that, this is a 2 in 1 sleeping bag which contains inner layers that can be removed or added depending via a zip. You can go from 1 tog for the Summer months or add the layers for the 2.5 tog in the colder months. They are comfortable, look great and you can easily change the warmth of the bag. These cost £37.99 which is a little more expensive than a normal, you don’t have to buy a 1 tog and a 2.5 tog.

Inkless WipesPrecious Memories Keepsakes:- One thing I really want but haven’t done with any of my children yet is to get a keep sake of their fingerprints, foot or hand prints on a piece of jewellery. They are quite expensive and I haven’t gotten around to getting one yet, hoping a lovely member of my family or hubby reads this, hint hint. In the meantime I have used the amazing Precious Memories inkless wipes and special paper to capture their foot prints, hand prints and finger prints until such time I can get the jewellery made. This was really easy to use, looks great and lasts forever, you can even get a frame with a kit. There are videos on the website to allow you to use. Why not treat yourself to a wonderful keepsake and hopefully I’ll get one soon.

We are just starting out in the Weaning Stage, so I have been buying and testing out bits and pieces for this.

BabyBjorn Cup

BabyBjorn Bibs & Cups:- BabyBjorn supply a great range of rubber bibs, which can be put into into Dishwasher or wash in the basin. Saves money on ruining all these bibs when they get ruined with the food. I love these bibs. The BabyBjorn cups are great too, allowing older baby’s to use cups without lids or for holding small snacks. These are available from  BabyDino.

MunchkinMunchkin Items:- One of my favourite items when weaning Tyler was a Fresh Food Feeder which I bought when I was in America as they weren’t available over here yet. They are fab as you pop them open, place in a piece of fruit or veg, close and hand it to the baby. They can them chew away on it with reduced risk of choking and mess. Spoons are essential for weaning, soft tipped and colourful is the way to go. A new item which wasn’t out when I’ve done weaning before are Click and Lock Food Pouch Spoon Tips. These nifty little items screw onto the pouches which we use on the odd occasion when out and about. You squeeze the pouch and it goes into the spoon tip. No mess, no fuss. It’s just easy. All these very cool items are from Munchkin.

Vital Baby Bowl

Vital Baby Bowl:- I make my own baby food, pureed fruit and vegetables to begin with. When it’s time to go back to work and my baby goes to my in laws or stays with my mum, I like to use the covered bowls with spoons to keep the frozen cubes in until lunchtime. I know she’s eating well. There are lots of great products by Vital baby I’ve also picked up some trainer cups which are fab.

Tommee Tippee Set

Tommee Tippee Feeding Kit:- Kits are a great thing to get before starting weaning, this Tommee Tippee Feeding set contains everything to get your started. Bowls, spoons, a cup and a wipeable bib. Get this and you are ready to go.
Tommee Tippee Steri Bottles

Tommee Tippee Steri-Bottle & Explora – If you are out and about this Summer, keeping bottles cool can be a difficult task, that’s why Tommee Tippee Steri-bottles are perfect. Open them up, pop in the milk and threw them away. Easy. If your little one is a bit reluctant to start eating, they have come up with these very cool Explora aeroplane spoons and fun.
Beaba BabyCook
Beaba Baby Cook:- I bought the Beaba Baby Cook when my boys were very young. I wanted an easy way to steam cook their vegetables, fruit, fish and meat. It’s perfect for little meals and not only does it cook them perfectly but it purrees them. You can make them as smooth or as lumpy as you want. This is the older version, there are newer more imporved versions available. In face the newer one even defrosts. If you are looking for something to steam & puree little one’s food then this is for you. I’ve loaned this out to others and used it for all my baby’s and can’t wait to try it out with Aria.

Disclaimer:- I was sent some of the above items as stated in the post, others I have purchased myself. I’ve not been paid further for mentioning any of these products in this post. All words and opinions are my own and the links have been included out of courtesy.
