BritMums Carnival on SusanKMann

4th June 2013 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

I’ve never done a BritMums Carnival or any carnival type posts for that matter so you’ll have to bear with me. What exactly is a carnival for those who don’t know, well I could be wrong but it’s a post which invites lots of other bloggers to send a link to the post they’d like to be included. The host will then type up a post including the links and a bit about them. Sometimes there is a theme, sometimes there isn’t. Try to visit your fellow carnival goers and leave them some comment love. How does that sound?
Carnival
Here goes… First up is Treading on Lego with a post fit to celebrate the Queen’s Coronation with some gorgeous crowns to make.
Then we have some creepy crawly cupcakes from The Gingerbread House, these are good enough to eat.
Heading over to Snowing Indoors who has some gorgeous pictures of what her family got up to over the Bank Holiday. Looks like they had a wonderful time.
Liz from The Mum Blog tells us all about her long weekend in that magical place that is Florida, how I long to go back there.
The lovely Not My Year Off tells us all about the fun her toddler at the stunning Lyme Park, gorgeous pictures and some fun kite flying.
Ever fancied moving to Spain? Snotty Noses explains why she moved to Spain.

A very open and honest post from the lovely Mum of Three World, that sometimes things get on top of us and we have to scream and shout and let it all out.
My fellow pregnancy buddy and we went on to have our baby girls a day apart, Carol from Parent Panel writes an honest post about the darkness that looms over her shoulder.
Mummy Ties tells us about her food concerns and how she wants to change this for her family.
An emotional and heartbreaking post about what Mammababa went through with a molar pregnancy.
The very lovely Transatlantic Blonde opens up about the changing times in her life, going from a work at home mom to a working mom.
Izzie Anderton gives us an insight into what it’s like to live in a house with teens. Where as parents we certainly need to crank our skills up.
Are you doing your bit to help nature? No, me either, but Mud Mud Marvellous Mud explains what she is doing and what we can do to help mother nature.
I love this post about Glamping in a Gypsy caravan. It looks amazing, you have to check this out on Foodiequine blog.
Looking to go to North Yorkshire Moors Railways in the near future? If so do check out Kids Days Out Reviews review of it.
Ninja Killer Cat tells us about having a more natural childhood and there is a very cool picture of a squirrel.
Make Do Mum gives an old set of discarded drawers a completely new lease of life, in more ways that one. Such a talented blog.
It’s Blue Crisps wedding anniversary and she shares a gorgeous poem she wrote to her husband. Happy Anniversary.
Life before children was very different for most of us, Its Up and Downs shares what life was like from what she met her husband. Beautiful post.
An interesting post from Ankrah Associates on ditching your day job and starting up your own business.
Far from Home Mama shares the reasons why her child cries, go share the love and show her she’s not alone. Our children all have their funny reasons for having a meltdown.
Sharing her experience of Motherhood second time around, Little e and Bean shows us how it was in those first few precious months.
Mummy Says wants her daughter to grow up knowing how beautiful she is and be confident with her self. I think we all share this for our sons and daughters.
A beautiful and honest post about how far one family has come in the space of a year with an Autism diagnosis. Ethans Escapades shares her story.
Why do you read blogs? Sweetener and Spice explains why she reads blogs and what she gets out of it?

The lovely Jax from Live Otherwise, shares a post on female faces on banknotes. Who would you like to see on a £5 note?

The sweet and lovely Snaffles Mummy, shares a post on making some story stones. This is such a great idea. A great craft to do and one which will keep on giving.

Red Rose Mummy shares a post about Red Rose Daddy running the Manchester Marathon. Well done Red Rose Daddy.

Do you give your children pocket money? The lovely The Boy and Me gives her little boy pocket money for the first time. Read how he got on.

We all love the Circus, Just Because I love shares a post on how much they loved the circus when they went.

A lovely book review by Story Snug

The very sweet Jennie from Edspire shares the music tracks she would like her children to listen to and will pass onto them in her Tracks Inheritance post.

3 Children and It shares her rules on motherhood. I love this list and could have written it myself. What rules do you have?

Lastly I’m going to sneak one of my own in here. What we did when the sun put his hat on and came out to play with us.

A late addition Love Keep Create, the baby keepsake company.

One I forgot to add and feel so bad as it’s a fab post. Mum in the South gives a new excuse for your child to behave badly.

I hope you enjoy the carnival as much as I have hosting it. Do go to as many posts as you can and show them some love. Comments make people’s day.
Until next time…
