I can’t believe how quickly it is going, I’m no where near ready to have this baby. My bump has been getting bigger and bigger but I still feel I’m quite a bit smaller with this one than I was with the boys. The shape of my bump is different, flat down the middle which may be caused by the anterior placenta and I think it’s growing width wise rather than out the way as it did with the boys. I am older and have been stretched so that might explain that.
I’m keeping not too bad, no more kidney infections since week’s 25 all good there, I’ve got a fair bit of swelling in my hands and ankles/legs but that’s to be expected. Blood pressure is good, so, so far no indications of any pre-eclampsia which I suffered with Lucas. I have been breathless a lot, especially when walking upstairs, etc, this wasn’t helped by a heavy cold I had for over a week. But I can finally breath through my nose again.
I am starting to feel baby move more and more which is good. Still not huge amounts but recently I can feel he or she moving and wriggling about which hubby has been able to feel. The boys aren’t quite sure about feeling it kick.
I’ve still got nothing ready for the baby and would be quite happy to keep him or her in until March or April time. December and January are such busy months with the boys birthday’s already. I’m still working away and plan to until the middle of January so I can get it at the other side.
Discussed with the consultant the plans for birth and the plan is to section me between 39-40 weeks if I don’t labour before then. This suits me as when I turn 39 weeks that’s Tyler’s birthday.
We got our first growth scan at 28 weeks and it was amazing to see how big the baby has gotten, even compared to the 20 week scan. He or she was drinking some fluid and open and closing it’s mouth when we saw it. Very cute. We got some face on pictures which were nice to see. We still don’t know the sex, but he or she is measuring right down the middle so this one won’t be as big as Tyler or as small as Lucas, all good there so far. Back at 32 weeks for another growth scan and back to see the consultant at 33 weeks. I’ve also had my whopping cough and flu jags.
Here’s a picture of baby at 28 weeks.
And my bump pic at 28 weeks.
What do you think, high or low? And still a weird shape.
