Review – Pumpazing Game

16th October 2012 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

Drumond Park

My boys are big fans of games and love playing together. When they were sent the Pumpazing by Drumond Park to try out they absolutely loved it.
Pumpazing is a fun and energetic game which is aimed at children aged 4+ and for 2 or more players. It is really simple to play. To play each player passes the character, Zingy, from player to player. Each player takes turns to pump the arms of the character, Zingy, in and out. When it is pumped up enough one of the Zingers will fly off into the air making a Zing or a Boing sound. If Zingy says Uh Oh when it’s your turn you are out. For older children there are cards which can be used. It’s a bit like pass the parcel with a twist.
Pumpazing
There is lots of action playing this game from jumping about waiting their turn to pumping the arms of Zingy. Not forgetting picking up the Zingers which have come flying off. It really is one game that you need a lot of energy for. I was a bit worried the boys wouldn’t be able to put but the Zingers back on to Zingy’s head but they were able to do this with ease. They played for over 1/2hour straight and could set it up without any adult intervention and had a lot of fun.
The boys absolutely loved this game, they thought it was hilarious every time one of the Zingers flew off and made a noise. I wasn’t so keen as it wasn’t my type of game, but they loved it and that was good enough for me. It does take 3 AAA batteries which aren’t included and was the only downside. The game itself doesn’t have too many parts so can be easily stored and doesn’t take up too much room. However if you lose one of the Zingers it won’t work as well. I would recommend this as a gift for little ones who are into energetic style games and love having fun. Not one for the adults or is that just me?
Check out the Drumond Website for more information on this game and other games they have.
