Review – Amazon Family

16th October 2012 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

I am a huge fan of online shopping and love Amazon. They have some great deals, I’ve never had any problems and have great service. What more could you ask for. Other than some great prices and fantastic deals.
Amazon have launched a new section called Amazon Family, this is aimed at families who buy online and are looking for good deals on delivery and offers. What do you get when you join Amazon family:-
You can cancel at any time. After the free three months you’d be charged £49 for a year of Amazon Family benefits, which include:-
• A further £25 off when they spend £50 in our Baby Store.
• FREE One-Day Delivery on millions of items with Amazon Prime.
• At least £50 worth of exclusive offers every month.
How do you sign up:-
You need to have an Amazon account and a debit or credit card associated with the account. You are then asked to enter your email address, details about your children’s sex and ages. Agree to the terms and conditions and enter your credit or debit card details. Simple. What are you waiting for, you can sign up here.
You will then get an email giving you details of Amazon Family and it’s offers. You are ready to shop.
I have bought a lot from Amazon over the year but would never have thought to buy nappies, wipes, etc from them. I never even thought they did that type of product but they do and there are massive savings to be had. I was sent £25 to spend on Amazon Family trying out the process and the deals. Since I’ve got a new baby on the way I thought I’d stock up on some newborn nappies and I bought some huggies ones size one for newborn’s tiny little bottoms. I got 108 nappies for £11.86. Now that’s a good deal. They also do a subscribe and save service, which is a free service which sends you the essentials you’ve signed up for like nappies and wipes, on a regularly scheduled basis without having to re-order. Very useful, especially in those early days of being a new mum.

I also treated myself and my bump to a full body maternity pillow. It arrived the next day and it’s fantastic. I can highly recommend this if you are pregnant.

I haven’t decided whether or not to take out the Amazon Family option past the three months yet at £49 per year it is expensive, but with a new baby coming and the subscription services, plus free next day delivery and all the deals it may well be an offer worth taking up. I will continue with the three free months and see how we get on. The baby will be here not long after this runs out so time will tell. I don’t feel it would be as much benefit if your family were a little older. All in all if you have a baby or a baby on the way this is a good opportunity to save some money.

You can sign up for you free trial here.

Disclaimer:- I was given £25 to purchase something from Amazon Family and sign up to this to give me honest opinion of the sign up and ordering process.
