100 Word Count Challenge – It Can’t Be That Time

17th October 2012 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

Here is week 62 of the 100 WC for Grown ups. It is a weekly challenge for all those writers who want to extend their audience to get feedback on their work.

The prompt this week is …it can’t be that time… It has to be based on this prompt and be only 100 words.

Here is my take on the prompt:-

Kory was having a nap in his crib while I did the cleaning chores. I hated doing them, but refused to use my power for mundane tasks.
I sat down and nodded off. I woke with a start and Kory screaming. I ran through, I gave a sigh when I saw he was fine.
Picking him up, I glanced at my watch; “It can’t be that time already, can it?” He’s clearly hungry.
Time for his blood-bottle, I couldn’t get used to my baby drinking blood. The breast feeding yes but the blood turned my stomach. Being half vampire this was part of his life.
Check out the other entries for the 100 WC and if you get a chance why not check out the children’s version of the 100 Word Count Challenge, there are some fantastic pieces on there.
