Here is week 51 of the 100 WC for Grown ups. It is a weekly challenge for all those writers who want to extend their audience to get feedback on their work. I have been absent for this for a few weeks, but I’m back.
The prompt this week is …. the line was drawn …. It has to be based on this prompt and be only 100 words.
Here is my take on the prompt:-
Dark magic was swirling around when I awoke from a deep slumber. I’d no idea how I ended up in a basement with no windows.
I lifted my head, eyes straining to see what’s around me, the cloud of dark magic like dense fog.
I get up staggering and pat myself down, a few stiff joints and bruises. I stumble across to the door, locked!
I dig in my pockets and find a vial of salt. I began a protection spell. The line was drawn and whatever evil cannot cross.
Sitting down, I had to think, how do I get out?
Check out the other entries for the 100 WC and if you get a chance why not check out the children’s version of the 100 Word Count Challenge, there are some fantastic pieces on there.
