Easter Shows with Nick Jnr

4th April 2012 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

I love special holidays shows, the Christmas specials are always my favourite but this year we also have some Easter specials and no-one does this better than Nick Jnr.
My boys love Nick Jnr especially Team Umizoomi. The maths one being my oldest’s favourite with him being maths obsessed so this Easter weekend we will be munching on our chocolate eggs and watching the following Easter specials.

Team Umizoomi are airing The Umi City Egg Hunt – Milli, Geo and Bot help their friend April to find the rainbow egg after it falls down a rabbit hole. They jump in after it and discover an amazing underground world of rabbits. They have to get across Rabbit Town to the egg factory before the rainbow egg gets scrambled. Airs at 10:30am on Thursday 5th April & Sunday 8th April on Nick Jnr.

Of course there has to be a Dora The Explorer special, it just wouldn’t be the holidays without it. This Easter there is Dora’s Easter Adventure – Dora and her trusty sidekick Boots await the arrival of the Easter Bunny who brings his basket filled with eggs and treats for their big egg hunt. However, just as he arrives Swiper swipes the basket and throws it into the Rainbow Garden. Dora and Boots try to save the Easter treats. Airs 10am on Thursday 5th April and Sunday 8th April on Nick Jnr.

There is a new show on the block called Tickety Toc which starts on Monday 23rd April at 8:15am. It is from The Foundation and is part of the Zodiak Kids and FunnyFlux Entertainment and is British produced.
Tickety Tok is about twins Tommy and Tallulah Tockety, who live on the other side of Tickety Toc Clock. There are various characters in this fast-paced funny show, which is based on the familiar patterns of everyday life. It provides children with lessons about teamwork, problem solving, compromise and interactivity. It has been created as a dual-gender show where you can follow the lives of the twins through their action packed adventures.

Both my boys really enjoyed this show, as did I. It is a little different from those out there and the fact it’s not boy or girl focused give it a little edge. I am looking forward to this show starting.

Which one of the shows are you looking forward to most?

Disclaimer:- I was sent a package with some chocolate & the preview dvd’s as a surprise from Nickleodeon. I decided to blog about the shows as I really enjoy them, I was not asked to do so.
