I missed last week’s due to Christmas holidays and getting back to work, etc. But I’m back!! Here is the twenty-sixth post of the 100 WC for Grown ups. It is a weekly challenge for all those writers who want to extend their audience to get feedback on their work.
This is this week’s prompt is “Aghast, Aquamarine, Aeroplane, Acted, After .” These individual words have to be included in the piece and you have 105 words to do it this week.
Here is my take on the prompt:-
Raven turned her face aghast at the sight ahead of us. I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the aeroplane, which seemed to have crash into the aquamarine lake.
I acted on my instincts and headed over to the plane. It seemed intact, no damage, just the nose of the plane in the water, the rest floated on top.
I walked to the waterfront, after Raven backed off when the mist started swirling, in the inky darkness.
There seemed to be no sign of life. Suddenly, someone or something rose out of the water. A large silhouette, dripping, headed towards me. I turned, I ran.
