Xbox Live Featuring Vampires And Gleeks

23rd December 2011 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

I mentioned a few weeks back about being Xbox Live Ambassador and about all the new Xbox Live Features. Last week we had a move night with Love Film and you can read all about it here. This week we have been exploring the new Xbox live features and have been watching some TV shows. Don’t forget if you are looking for Xbox Live Gold Membership, there is a discount below.

First up I set us up with a Sky account on the laptop, easy and simple to do. Go to the site, if you already have a Sky ID you don’t even have to do this. You just pop your details into the screen on the Xbox and away you go. We don’t have Sky we have Virgin so I had to set this up. I signed up for a months Sky Go to see what it’s like. I have to say I was impressed. There aren’t as many channels as you get on the box, but it is cheaper than a full subscription and all the main ones are there.

Once you are all signed up, you are ready to go on the Xbox, put in your Sky ID and Password and your good to go. The menus for the TV section are easy to navigate around and has a handy TV guide section so you can see what is on and what is coming on next.

Normally my first choice would be some Vampire Diaries which I am the biggest fan of. However, ITV 2 isn’t on Xbox Live YET. It is coming in the new year. So I caught up on some reading with this very cool book.

Sometimes I get a little carried away in our themed vampire watching nights.
When it get a little bit scary, I’ve always got my book to hide behind.

This week, since there was no Vampire Diaries on I caught up on some Glee. I was able to watch three of the latest episodes on Xbox Live, now how cool is that. Even the boys joined in.

Glee another of my favourite shows and to be able to watch three episodes seamlessly and one after the other was perfect. Glee is on the Xbox dashboard and so easy to find. I would highly recommend this and will definitely be watching more live TV on the Xbox. The only disappointment was it is not available in HD, hopefully this will be available in the future.
All in all I’ve had a great fun testing out the Xbox Live  features and watching the TV on it. Something we will continue to do. Next time it’s a sporting event, not my favourite thing to do but certainly hubby’s.
Don’t forget…
I have a very special off for my wonderful readers, if you go to our page on the Xbox site you will find an option to get 3 months Xbox Live Gold for half price. All you have to do is enter my special code which is Ss3nKM8nn. Let me know if you have any problems with this, I am sure you won’t. Now go enjoy all the wonderful new features of Xbox Live.
