Review – Prezzy Box – Yummy Dough And iBug

3rd December 2011 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

I was sent through some Yummy Dough to try out from the people at Prezzybox. Yummy dough is a new edible play dough for children. It is made with vegetable colours, which make the dough bright and fun to look at but still edible.

The dough comes in packets of powder which you mix with water, my advice make sure you put the right amount in, I think I over did it thinking it was dry and ended with a icky mess. Don’t worry there is a syringe so you can measure it out, I thought it was too dry and added more, don’t do this. Trust the instructions.
So you get four different colours, green, blue, red and yellow. The primary colours and one secondary colour will allow you to mix to make other colours. This also comes with a modelling tool.
The boys really liked this, they love play dough and modelling. I did not particularly like it I have to say. I’m not the biggest fan of play dough and didn’t think it was as good as the dough you don’t eat. Plus I’m not sure giving the children dough you can eat is such a good idea. What if they eat the non eating dough. Anyway the boys liked it and that was the main thing.
We made a red power ranger and a piggy. They turned out ok, but didn’t taste very nice once cooked.
The boys would recommend these, I wouldn’t. I didn’t like it and I wouldn’t by it again. The boys did have a good time making their creations though, so if you’re a fan of Playdoh then you will probably like this.
We were also sent a Radio Controlled iBug – Caterpillar for my youngest to review. Now this is a great toy for little ones, it’s sturdy, durable, fun, easy to use and it lights up. The caterpillar had a light at the top and the antennas which glow. The remote control moves forward and turns left or right. So easy to use even my two year old had so much fun with this.
I would highly recommend this for anyone with a little one. Very simple and effective with minimal effort. And a great price too.
I tried to capture it on film to show the caterpillar lighting up but didn’t quite get the look I hoped but you get the idea.
Prezzybox  is a great online gift company, which is perfect for all your gift needs at this time of year.
Disclaimer:- I was sent these two items in exchange for my honest opinion, which I gave above.
