Each year it seems we have a different tree according to my husband, but it’s the same one. It’s fake and it’s black, but I think it looks pretty good.
The boys helped me decorate it for the first time, seeing their little faces helping me put on the decorations, I won’t ever do it alone again. We decorated it in our PJ’s early on the 30 November, only because we were off due to the strikes and the tree was down from the loft due to getting it insulated or it would never have been up that early. We did not switch the lights on, other than to test them, until the 1st December.
Tyler got into the spirit before the tree decorating.
The the decorating commenced.
Lucas helped with the higher decorations.
Where Tyler did the lower ones with such concentration.
Lucas’ first Christmas bauble with it’s pride and place.
Then Tyler’s.
We had some tinsel playing in between, which had some laughs and some tears.
Then there is our collection of all singing and dancing soft toys which we add to every year. And every year I say, no more. It creates a headache after a while of them being played over and over again.
The little snowman was bought for Lucas on his first Christmas and it’s named Cole. Which is a joke present as I was going to name him Snow or Cole if he was born on Christmas day. Having the surname Mann, brought me some hilarity on naming my children. The hubby didn’t find them quite so funny having lived with it all his life.
Some paper chains were made for their room.
And our lovely tree all finished. It’s not perfect but then neither are we.
You can see my 3D snowflakes at the window.
So what do you think? Do fake trees not quite cut it?
