Here is the eighteenth week of the 100 WC for Grown ups. It is a weekly challenge for all those writers who want to extend their audience to get feedback on their work.
This is this week’s prompt is to include …lest we forget…
Here is my take on for this prompt:-
I walk through the darkness of the night. The moonlight my only friend. I hear the rats scuttling about, foraging for food. The world is silent, the world is at peace or so they think.
I miss the daylight, the hustle and bustle of the commute. The warmth of the sunlight on my face. The babies sitting their prams gurgling away. People laughing and children playing.
All I have is the darkness, the heightened senses and the need for blood. I craved the power and I got what I wanted. Lest we forget what it’s like to be human.
