Review – Letterbox Firestation And Furniture

30th August 2011 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

We have recently came across wooden toys in our house, I know I don’t know where I had been, but we are now huge fans of them. So when Letterbox asked me to review one of their products I was delighted and couldn’t wait to see what they sent.
When a huge and I mean huge box came through the door the boys and I couldn’t wait to open it. Inside was another box, with a huge picture of a The Firestation and Furniture. However inside that box, the firestation was flat packed, I could see their little delighted and excited faces go a little flat when they realised they would have to wait for daddy to come home to build their toy. Or did they?

When I first looked at all the bits I had no idea where to begin. I took a deep breath and did some no man would do and followed the instructions, yes I did. One allen key and screw driver later, along with about half and hour work I had it built, two happy boys and one pleased with herself mummy. It was relatively easy, if I don’t say so myself.
I don’t know about you, but I think it looks very good. The boys had so much fun playing with it. The fire engines are ones we had in the house. We will be buying the Wooden fire engine and Wooden Firefighters  for their christmas to compelte the set, but right now they have to make do with some plastic ones.
This firestaion is built to last, it is solid, well made, bright colourful, the doors open, it had a fireman’s pole to slide down, two floors, lots of furniture for the firefighters to sit or sleep on and it had a handle at the top so it can be easily carried for storage at the end of a busy day fighting fires. I cannot praise this enough. It has brought so much joy to two little boys.
I would highly recommend Letterbox for buying wooden toys, games and presents. They do something for everyone. They have brought so much joy in our house, let them do the same for yours.
Disclaimer:- I was sent the Wooden Firestation in exchange for my honest opinion.
