Review – Little Dish Favourites Cookbook

9th June 2011 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

Description:- The Little Dish Favourites Cookbook is an essential cookbook for busy parents everywhere. Containing 70 foolproof recipes, including favourites from the award-winning Little Dish range, it makes cooking for your small children the pleasure it should be.

All the recipes are quick to prepare, use readily available, fresh ingredients (but not a great long list of them), and have no added salt. Created to appeal to even the most reluctant eater, each recipe has been taste-tested by a team of tiny tots. With the help of the Little Dish recipe experts you can avoid the frustration of having your lovingly prepared home-cooked food rejected.

Review:- This is a great little cookbook, excellent for busy mothers with little ones. The ranges cover purees to small meals. There is something for even the fussiest child. With 70 recipes, you can’t go wrong.

The shepherds Pie is a big hit in our house, I have followed the recipe in this book and it went down a treat. It’s not only for the little kids, the big kids in the house also like them. One of the most useful thing in the book is the recipes contain hidden veggies. If your children are anything like mine, green seems to be frowned upon in our house, along with orange, red, any colour that comes in the form of a vegetable.

Ok, anyone who knows me knows I have a little bit of a sweet tooth. The book has some scrumptious yet healthy cakes, the banana muffins are delish. Carrot cakes are also yummy. Yet more ways to get that hidden fruit and veg into your little ones.

I do have one complaint about the book is that there are no pictures of the dish. Strange I thought for a cookbook but the recipes are simple enough that I’m sure you can guess what they should look like. However I think it would have been useful. It didn’t stop me making some of these dishes.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone with a young child. There are some excellent, healthy and quick recipes in this book.

Disclaimer:- I received this book in exchange for an honest review, which I have given above.
