My oldest Lucas has never been a great sleeper. He needs his sleep but likes to be comforted and know you are there. I can relate as I was the same as a child. He will not sleep in the dark so we have night lights for him, yes night lights. One is not enough. We have one plugged in, in the hallway so it’s not dark outside his room and he and his brother have one each. I find nightlights a really difficult to buy as they are either too dull and give off virtually no light or they are so bright, planes may land in the bedroom.
When I was offered a chance to review a Pabobo nightlight, I was delighted. Have you seen their website, they are gorgeous. So many to choose from, they all look so great and so cute.
We were sent the Barbapapa Carousel Light to review. This was an immediate hit with both my boys, whom share a room. They light looks great even switched off, the Barbpapa characters around this side. When on the characters spin round inside the light cascading colours and swirls on the walls and ceilings of the room. It’s not too much that its distracting and unable to sleep, it spins slowly and calmly, creating a wonderful sleepy atmosphere.
The light itself is bright enough not to need a main light for reading the bedtime story, but not too bright to keep them awake. I do switch it off when they are asleep. The unit can be left on for hours and never gets warm to touch, which in itself is impressive as any other nightlights I have came across still generate some heat. The light is sturdy and well made. It comes with a bracket which allows the light to be wall mounted. Plus it comes with a spare light bulb, that I think is worth mentioning, there is nothing worse than the bulb going out and you having to hunt around the shops for a similar bulb, this gives you a spare.
The Pabobo light comes with a card which allows you to download an app on your iPhone, which changes your phone into a nightlight with some soothing nursery tunes. Handy for travelling and you can’t take the light with you.
I cannot praise Pabobo enough, especially the Barbapapa Carousel Night Light. It’s calming and soothing, yet bright enough for comfort to aid little ones to sleep. Plus they look gorgeous.
