The poem is for Lyrical Sunday hosted on the wonderful Catching the Magic. This is my first time in joining in. This week’s prompt is Solstice.
Here is my poem.
Solstice
Summer sun where are you,
That warmth on the skin,
The sun in your eyes,
Yet nothing but rain comes down.
Dancing in a circle,
No clouds in the sky,
The sunset red and orange,
Yet it’s grey in the sky.
The sun doesn’t go down,
It’s light for so long,
Everyone is happy,
Yet it’s so dull.
Where are you sun,
Please come back,
We miss you sun,
Your happy smiling face.
