Two friends, Max and Millie are two toddlers at nursery. There is a new toy in the nursery, a shiny red car. Both want to play with the car at the same time. Max gets to it first and Millie tries her hardest to get him out. Pushing, pulling, crying and shouting. The teacher comes over and explains to them that the best way to play is to take turns.
They hadn’t thought of this themselves, but once they try it, they are much happier. Max pushes Millie and then Millies pushes Max. They have lots more fun sharing and taking turns, than squabbling over it.
Usborne produce fantastic children’s books and this is one is no exception. It is sturdy, it’s hard backed cover and thick cardboard pages make it perfect for little ones hands. The pictures are bright, colourful and easy to view. The story itself is simple and not too long to hold a toddlers attention. Best of all, they get a great message about sharing.
Part of series of Max and Millie toddler books from Usborne.
