Last month I got to meet the lovely people behind the Parental Circle. The guys may not be parents yet but they know their stuff about child safety online as they are also the founders of Dizeo. This is a safe social network for children. They can also get homework help on it.
I am not quite at the Dizeo stage yet, so my interest is in Parental Circle which I think is amazing. This is a website where parents can ask questions in which they need help. It can be anything from “How do I stop my child using a dummy?” to “What’s the best way to start potty training?” The circle is made up of parents who help other’s out. I have found the network a great support and useful resource.
If you haven’t tried it out yet, you should go and have a look. You might find some answers which will help you out or you may have the experience to help out another mum or dad in need of answers. Check out the website here.
These guys are so sweet that they treated Melaina, Julesey, Laura, Laura, Ellen and I to a lovely sushi lunch. It was so nice to meet my fellow bloggers in real life after tweeting with them for so long and commenting on their blog. I didn’t find it at all strange we all got on great. The guys were great too, very nice, sweet and funny.
We spoke about Parental Circle, any ways we thought it could be improved and the exciting Parental Circle Blogger Fest. The guys listened and took on board our ideas and what we thought would be good at Blogger Fest. I can safely say all of us Scottish Bloggers are very excited to have something to go to north of the border.
So Parental Circle Blogger Fest will be held on Saturday the 7th of May 2011 at Parental Circle’s headquarters which is just outside of Glasgow, not far from the airport. The event will start at 10:00am and end at 5:00pm with lunch, tea and coffee provided. At last we have a cool blogging event in Scotland.
Here is some of the things you will learn about at #PCBF:-
- optimising your blog for search engines
- internet safety for you and your children
- photography
- working with PRs
- working with major blogging platforms
So what are you waiting for? Go get your tickets before they are all gone. Check out the website here.
