I don’t know about you, but I’m excited about The Royal Wedding. I have always loved reading about princesses and playing princesses as a child. Dreaming of the day your prince comes and sweeps you off your feet. This dream never really leaves you. This is a real life princess fairy tale come true. What is not to like?
In honour of the big day we decided to make a Castle fit for a princess, out of our Easter Egg boxes and toilet roll tubes. We didn’t eat ALL the eggs prior to the construction.
We also made a Princess bride, complete with a toilet roll wedding dress. A Prince groom, wearing a kilt of course, we are Scottish after all and their Majesties the Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. Not forgetting a horse and cart to escort the bride and groom on their big day.
What do you think? I think we made not too bad a job of them. We did have great fun making them and the boxes didn’t go to waste.
Who knows maybe the Queen’s dress will be blue? Hopefully the Duke of Edinburgh’s face won’t be quite as blue.
I took this picture when I was at Legoland Windsor on the first of April, I love how they have added in the Royal wedding to their sculpture.
We will be watching the Royal Wedding together as a family, waving our flags with the happy couples faces on them. We will play with the cardboard castle and re-enact the wedding. What will you be doing?
I wish William and Kate all the best and hope they have a long and happy marriage together.
