Review – Miffy’s World for Wii

26th November 2010 By Susan Mann 1 Comment

Description: STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN – 18th October 2010 – PAN Vision Group, a leading independent Nordic publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment based in Stockholm Sweden, in conjunction with Mercis bv, the Amsterdam based licensor, are pleased to announce that Miffy’s World is now available to download on WiiWare™ priced at 1000 Nintendo Points.

Developed by independent Portuguese game developer Biodroid, and featuring the star of approximately 120 books which have sold in excess of 85 million copies worldwide since her debut in 1955, Miffy’s World is a simulation game world for children featuring the rabbit Miffy and her cast of animal friends. Helping to stimulate the creative aspects of the imagination through the game’s quests and puzzles, children are encouraged to explore the world of Miffy and interact with its array of colourful characters.
In Miffy’s World the child plays as Miffy, exploring different locations and performing small quests, interacting with friends and objects, and accessing a series of educational mini-games. In multiplayer mode, one adult playing either as Miffy’s mother or father can escort the child, tutoring them on all aspects of the World or helping them to solve the mini-games.
KEY FEATURES
• Single player or two-player
• 2D wrap-around circular world comprised of the main characters’ houses (Miffy, Poppy, Boris, and more) and other locations including the School and the Playground
• Game world designed to replicate the aesthetic of the much loved books

Review: This game is very simple to install, use and looks good for little ones. You can easily manoeuvre Miffy though different screens, from the beach to the school. Completing tasks along the way. This game is great to get preschoolers used to using a controller. They are easily guided to manoeuvre throughout the game from one screen to another.
The game is basic looking just like the miffy cartoon. I have to admit my little one enjoyed the game to begin with but it didn’t keep his attention. Not sure if he was too young or because wasn’t driving games or something fast paced but he got bored after twenty minutes and won’t go back.
I however liked the game. Miffy is sweet and you can go her mum or dad. You can go to school and play around. Yes it’s quite slow paced but is good for pre-schoolers and early school age to learn.
I would recommend this if your child likes basic role playing games or Miffy but not if they are into fast paced racing games, or platform type games.

Thank you WiiWare™ for sending me this game to review.

Oooh, my little girl loves Miffy (I used to read Miffy books when I was little too!) This will definitely be on the list for Santa!
