I have been tagged by my twitter twin Mostly Yummy Mummy in the new (well was new but I’m so slow, everyone has probably done this one by now) meme about being a Twitterholic.
Yes, I am a Twitterholic and I don’t mind.
When did you join Twitter? (Find out by going to bwitterday)
I joined on 14 April 2009.
Why did you join Twitter?
The majority of people in my work were on it, my other half was on it and they all kept talking about it, so I joined to see what all the fuss was about. I followed them and it took me a while to get into it but once I had some followers I was hooked.
Who is/was your first or oldest follower? Who did you follow first? Tell me all about them! (check your First Five Followers)
- My first five followers were @tom_davison – I worked with him at the time, he has since deserted us for pastures new, but I still follow him.
- Second was @Fyfster – I have known Elaine since I was two years old and we are best friends. She isn’t on twitter much.
- Third was @MannyMann – He is my other half. I still follow him, I kind of have too. LOL
- Fourth was @FitterStu – He is Stuart from my work, he’s a lovely guy and does a lot of running.
- My fifth follower was @fionab69cat – Fiona is one of the owners of the company I work for, she’s not on twitter much.
Do you have any celebrities following you, or have you ever had a DM from a celeb?
Depends on what you mean by celebrities? I have lots of authors following me especially my favourite author @LMWeatherford and she DM’s me all the time. My most famous tweet was from @MellyJHart she tweeted me back after I asked her a question about a movie, but not a DM.
I have had tweets from the one and only @rolandrat. He’s about as big a celebrity as you can get.
I don’t really follow a lot of celebrities, only ones I think would be nice if you met them in real life.
If you could follow anyone not on Twitter – alive, dead, real or fictional – on Twitter, who would it be?
My dad. He would be totally into Twitter, he was right into computers, blogging, etc. He’s been gone seven years now and even back then he was into technology.
Which came first – Twitter or blog?
Twitter was first. I never really thought about blogging. I followed quite a few mummy bloggers and loved reading what they wrote on their blogs. I bought a domain name, discussed it with my wonderful twitter twinny @MostlyYummy, we encouraged each other. I posted my first post on 21st January 2010 which was my baby’s first birthday and the rest is blog history.
I am now going to past this meme on to some other great Tweeps. Please don’t be offended that I have called you a Twitterholic – we all are.

The rules, as defined by Kate at The Five F’s Blog who started this great meme, are:
1. Nick the badge at the top, and mention the person who tagged you.
2. Answer the questions. (Duh!)
3. Tag some other great twitterholics bloggers.
