This is my entry for the lovely Josie’s Writing Workshop over at Sleep is for the Weak.
I chose “Waiting” from her list of prompts. I haven’t done any poerty for a few weeks, so I am going with a poem. Hope you like it.
Waiting
Waiting by the door,
Little girl lost,
Tears streaming down my face,
Confused, what happened,
Where is my mummy?
Little girl lost,
Tears streaming down my face,
Confused, what happened,
Where is my mummy?
Waiting by the door,
Waiting for a cuddle,
Waiting to be told everything will be ok,
Waiting for a kiss,
Waiting for a hug,
It never comes,
I’m still waiting…
Hope you enjoyed my poem, why not check out the rest of the entries over at Sleep is for the weak.

Very sad.
Susan – it was lovely. But my brain cries for completion. I'd've enjoyed it a lot more if there had been a 'waiting is over' line….can't help it, sorry. Very goo writing, 'though.I did the same prompt….it was a poem too….
sorry, meant 'good writing'….
So lovely and sad too. Really good Susan xx
Thank you glad you liked it. It is sad and I didn't complete it because it's not over I am still waiting. 🙁 xx
