I would like to thank the lovely and talented author Lacey from The Delusional Diaries for passing this cute award onto me and my site.
The award directions are: To accept the award you must link back and thank the person who gave you the Life is Good award. Answer the 10 questions and pass it along to 6 other blogs.
1. If you blog anonymously are you happy doing it that way; if you are not anonymous do you wish you had started out anonymously so you could be anonymous now?
I don’t blog anonymously. My friends, family and work colleagues all follow my blog. Not to mention all my cyber friends. With my book reviews, I don’t mind not being anonymous but with my personal life, sometimes I wish I had been anonymous.
2. Describe one incident that shows your inner stubborn side.
I was in a book shop one day and picked up a couple of books. My husband said I have too many books, some of which I hadn’t read and didn’t need to buy any more. I was fine about it, but not happy. Never mind, the next day I went back to the shop without him and bought them.
3. What do you see when you really look at yourself in the mirror?
Pphysically, right now I don’t like what I see. Since having baby number two, I feel like a monster with the scar I got from a c-section. Long story but it just physically feels horrible. I keep busy and try not to think too much about myself just now, that’s what my counselling is for. LOL
4. What is your favorite summer cold drink?
Diet Irn Bru from the fridge and in a can. I’m a fizzy drink addict. Bad I know.
5. When you take time for yourself, what do you do?
Read, read, read, watch some television and sleep.
6. Is there something you still want to accomplish in your life? What is it?
So much I want to achieve. I want to be the best mother I can be and make sure my boys are happy. I also want to have a book published. I love to write, but I’m still learning. One day….
7. When you attended school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever, the shy person, or always ditching?
I was shy at school, I was good at school but latterly hung out with the cool people. I didn’t seem to fit in anywhere. I wasn’t a nerd but in nerd type classes and wasn’t in cool kids classes. I found school hard.
8. If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment of your life what would you see?
My dad died when I was 25, I didn’t have any brothers and sisters so it left just me and my crazy mum. I took charge and looked after my mum.
9. Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people or events?
I find it easy to share my true self to an extent. It’s a release writing a blog post and posting it to the world. It’s a lot easier than talking to someone face to face.
10. If you had the choice to sit down and read or talk on the phone, which would you do and why?
I would chose to sit down and read. I love to read, it is one of my favourite things to do in the whole world. I love to curl up on my bed, relax and escape in a book.
Here are the six blogs I think are worthy of an award too, because I just felt completely inspired when I visited their pages:
1. Melissa @ Spellbound by Books
2. Lynsey @ Narratively Speaking
3. Kerrianne @ The Book Blogger
4. Casey @ The Bookish Type
5. Emma @ Asamum
6. Amina @ Layout on My Space
I hope you will take the time to check all of these great blogs.
