This weeks Gallery theme on the lovely Tara’s blog Sticky Fingers is Memory.
Memories are precious, they are what makes and breaks us. They are little picture/slideshows/films into our past. But we choose which ones we want to share with others.
Family means a lot to me, I don’t come from a big family and my side consists of my mother and I, so when the extended family gets together I am in my element. I have never felt like I belonged anywhere but when there is a room full of blood relatives for that hour or so I know I am in the right place.
As many of you know, my dad passed away seven years ago. Yesterday would have been his sixty-fifth birthday so I have been thinking about him a lot. This is the memory I would like to share….
These pictures were take in April 2003, this was the first time in over ten years that my dad and his three brothers were together. One lives in the USA, one in England and one about 20 minutes away. They did meet up, but getting all four together at the one time was virtually impossible until this day.
My mum and dad at the two on the left hand side.
My dad, is second from the right. This picture also has a younger me and my little cousin Jenni.
This was a really good night, we joked, talked about when the guys were younger. They did some crazy things. All in all it was one of the most memorable nights of my life. This night was a blessing as my dad died 3 months later, but we all hold dear the memories.

So glad you got these memories to cherish. I lost my Dad in 2000 and occasionally, the pain still leaks out. I've blogged about him before but I ended up in tears writing one post.
