Forget ev …more In a world where angels are beyond redemption, Alex thinks he’s found one that might deserve mercy. Alex is a ruthless assassin – of angels. Forget everything you’ve heard about them before. Angels are not benign celestial creatures, but fierce stalkers whose irresistible force allows them to feed off humans, draining them of their vitality until there is barely anything left. As far as Alex is concerned, the only good angel is a dead angel…until he meets Willow. She may look like a normal teenager but Willow is no ordinary girl. Half-angel, half-human, Willow may hold the key to defeating the evil angels. But as the hunter and the hunted embark on an epic and dangerous journey and Willow learns the dark and terrifying secrets of her past, Alex finds himself drawn to Willow…with devastating consequences. Eoin Colfer reinvented the fairy, Stephenie Meyer reinvented the vampire, L.A. Weatherly reinvents the angel! This is a heart-pounding, knuckle-whitening, paranormal romance action-adventure for fans of the “Twilight” series. This is the first in a devastating new trilogy.
Review: I loved this book. I knew I would enjoy it before I had even started, it was my “type” of book, but I didn’t just like it, I LOVED it.
Angel’s a little different from what’s out there at the minute, and a definite page turner. The action will keep you gripped from start to finish. Such a rollercoaster ride of emotions, from fear and hatred to love and lust. I just couldn’t put it down.
Willow is such a great character, she’s a girl who doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty and knows how to handle herself. She is sweet and special. She is no ordinary person, she is half Angel and has a special ability to read minds. Sometimes it gets her more than she has bargained for.
Alex, he is one hot Angel killer. Angels are the bad guys in this book. To humans, they are the white, fluffy winged, do-gooders but as Alex says the only good Angel is a dead Angel. They are a threat to the human race, they feed off them so they can survive.
Alex never imagined he would fall for a person he has been trained to kill.
I am so glad this is a trilogy and I can wait for book two.
I can guarantee you will love this book, it has everything you would want, action, romance, compelling characters and a great twist.

Thank you so much to Anna Howorth at Usborne for sending me the book, I am eternally grateful. And thank you so much to L. A. Weatherly for writing such a fantastic book. I hope to meet you in person at one of your signings. I have to mention her amazing cat too, it makes me smile every time I see her profile picture in Twitter. You have to see this cat!!

I love the re-imagining of the angel lore! That's so different! Great review – you definitely made me want to read this book! I'm really into angels lately (I blame Laura Kreitzer & her Timeless series for starting that one), so this sounds like it's right up my alley! Plus the angel-assassin thing kinda reminds me of the Nephilim in Cassandra Clare's books, so I'm totally sold (sexy, sword-wielding boys? Yes, please.)
