I was asked to review Wilkinson’s Five Star Suncare. This included Suncare Moisturising Sun Lotion SPF 25, Suncare Kids’ Moisturising Sun Lotion SPF 50 and Suncare Aftersun. An excellent product to test at this time of year thank you, but not always required in Scotland.
Product Description: Wilko Suncare Moisturising Sun Lotion (200ml) from £2.98
The five star-rated sun lotion comes in SPF’s 6-50 and provides both UVA and UVB protection. Enriched in Vitamin E, the range is water resistant, dermatologically tested and perfect for the whole family to use.
Review: I really liked this suncream, being very very pale SPF 25 is ideal for me in a hot day. Unlike most sun creams, this did not leave a greasy residue, absorbed well and smelled nice. Pretty much what I want suncream to do. I hate it when they leave your skin greasy and mark your clothes, this does neither. Plus I was protected from the sun. Thumbs up from me.
Product Description: Wilko Suncare Kids’ Moisturising Sun Lotion (200ml) from £3.98
For a fun, high protection addition to the adult lotion, try Wilko’s spray on protection, which is quick and easy to apply. The Kids’ range comes in SPF50, is water resistant and dermatologically tested.
Review: I didn’t like this cream all that much. The one I tested was purple in colour, which is a great idea and the kids loved it. In fact they asked to have it put on when it was raining. However, not being abroad they were still wearing their normal clothes, which I would like to keep stain free as much as possible. This cream was thick and if it went on the clothes you had to wash them to get it to come off, which it did. I think this would be a great sun cream for going abroad, it is thick, you can see where you have applied and where you haven’t and it is water resistant. For everyday use I don’t think it is ideal. So this wasn’t so great for me, but next time I go abroad I will purchase it.
Product Description: Wilko Suncare Aftersun (200ml) from £1.98
To continue caring for skin that has been exposed to the sun, what better way than to re-hydrate and cool your skin than with Wilko Suncare Aftersun. This replenishes skin with vital nutrients and reinvigorates, whilst the Aloe Vera soothes and moistures the skin to help soften skin. It is non-greasy and dermatologically.
Review: This is a great aftersun, it absorbes well and smells of coconut. In fact it smells exactly as aftersun should, of a tropical holiday. Great moisturisation. I highly recommend this.
