I signed my three year old Lucas up to the Children’s Traffic Club a few months ago. I had actually forgotten all about it, until the pack came through the door.
The pack contains a book, stickers and a folder to keep them in. It is aimed at three to four year olds. It is designed at teaching basic road safety skills, in a fun and interactive way.
Now I don’t know about your toddler but so far mine is very good at stopping at the kerb and taking an adults hand before crossing the road. I am not sure he will always be like this, so I wanted to teach him about road safety before he became a nightmare.
Lucas is at the “Why?” or “How?” stage and asks one or the other at least ten times about everything and anything. Normally this gets very annoying by the sixth or seventh time and you are ready to pull your hair out, but it came in quite handy with this pack.
When I got in from work, Lucas and I sat on the couch and I read the book to him. It contained so many coloured pictures with stories, activites and stickers. All aimed at giving a valuable lesson in a fun but informative way.
Lucas asked loads of questions and now realises he will get squished by a car if he goes on the road without holding an adult’s hand.
The stickers and characters are fun, like ‘Lucy Listen’ and ‘Sammy Seatbelt’. He can name each one of them now. And let’s just say I am still finding the stickers in odd places.
I really can’t praise this pack enough, it is a fantastic way to educate your child and spend some quality time together.

I've not heard of this before but sounds really good. It's such an important thing to teach while they are young too. I'll have to check out the website : ) Great post as ever x
Oh how sweet, and a great way to spend time with the little one. Shame I live in the US. =) Though I keep saying I'll get back to London one day.
That does look great – im going to recommend it to Claire for Luke 🙂 xx
It sounds fab, can't wait till the bear is old enough to teach this kind of stuff too must be really rewarding x
