It’s been a few years since we’ve had enough snow to build a snowman. I love the snow. I love to how it makes everything seem silent. I love how it makes everything bright. I love how it makes me feel. It’s calming, it’s empowering and it’s peaceful. It’s like being in a giant snow globe that’s been shaken and is all glittery and beautiful. A white blanket of cold, beautiful ice, covering the world and silencing anything in it’s wake.
On Wednesday we were lucky enough to get wrapped up, get out there and have some fun in the snow. It wasn’t so much fun driving in it, as I couldn’t get anywhere near to get my blood tests done. But when the boys came home from school it made me love the snow again.
We built a Snowman together, all three of us. Tyler was great at it and rolled the ball, snow sticking, getting bigger and bigger.
What do you think of our snowman. Great isn’t he? There is still a little bit of him left as I type and that makes me smile. He’ll always come back next time it snows. I’ll watch for those flurries of white flakes and build him again.
We finished off our afternoon of white stuff fun with some snowball throwing.
It was a lot of fun, we were numb, but we were elated. Love this picture of Lucas enjoying some snowball throwing.
Are you a lover of snow? I hope so see more of those sparkly, little, white, fluffy flakes falling from the sky before the Winter is through. It’s magical,
