Today is my first baby boy’s Lucas birthday, I cannot believe I am saying he is 8 today. Wow where has the time gone since he was born? my little Christmas miracle. He teaches me more about myself, how to be a parent and how to love every day. He’s different from the other two, more reserved, shy, but knows what he wants, lives in his own little bubble and pretty much would spend his entire waking time kicking a ball. He’s sensitive and very loving in his own special way.
Here is a photo of Lucas just after his 7th birthday. He’s grown so much.
Lucas, you’ve been amazing at school this year. Your teacher is very impressed by your maths skills and is pushing you to become better. You love to read and I hope you keep this up always, as there is nothing better than a good book. You have stood up on stage several times this year in the 60’s show and in the panto this year in the chorus and I was one proud mummy. You were a star.
We’ve been on a few trips this year to the log cabin which you always love and you had great fun at archery, water walking, etc. You love your sports and activities and you have been learning to swim at school, which I didn’t think you’d do again after getting a fright when you were younger, but showing your true colours you’re getting stuck into it. Whether it’s ten pin bowling, running, etc you give 100% and you keep on going. You love your sport and activities, but you also love to do crafts with me or at the library. You love to bake, make and paint.
Daddy and I bought you a pair of football boots, just like Messi’s and you loved them so much you took them to bed with you.
You love your Games consoles and ipod and it’s nice that you sit still for five minutes while doing it. It’s sometimes tiring for mummy and daddy for you to kick a ball 24/7. And although we get frustrated at times with you, we love your love for the game and enthusiasm and wouldn’t have it any other way.
We went to Disneyland Paris for the first time and you went on the Tower of Terror, Thunder Mountain and various other rides with your twin cousins and brother and I. You loved it and I hope we can take you back one day.
We all went to see the Commonwealth Games when they were in Glasgow, we saw Badminton and you thought it was amazing.
Other big achievements this year have been, you lost your first tooth, you grew two big ones first, then lost another all within a month. A big mile stone as you thought you’d never lost a baby tooth. You had a tarantula on your head and have become a big animal handler. Showing your loving nature. At school, we couldn’t be prouder and at football, daddy, also your coach has said you are coming on leaps and bounds. We love to watch you play football you light up the room, you love it so much.
You are an amazing big brother, both to Aria and Tyler. Tyler idolises you and you are best friends. Which I hope will always be the case. He worships everything you do and you are lost when he’s not around. You have a lot of patience with Aria and look after her making sure she is ok. And she can say your name properly now, which pleases you.
I can’t believe you are 8, Lucas, you can see your 7th birthday here. You have taught me so much as a person and as a mother. I was in awe the moment I set eyes on your and I still am. I love you with all my heart and you make me so proud. Happy birthday baby boy and I hope you have a wonderful birthday. Lots of Love mummy xx
I’d also like to wish all my lovely readers a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year. Love to you all xx
