If your toddler is anything like mine then he/she will love to colour. I’m not so keen on cleaning pen off of my toddlers belly every evening, so crayons are my friend. I came across these crayons which are sold at Flamingo Gifts. I love these, they are solid, sturdy, bright, colourful and they colour well. They come in Pirate crayons, animals and these gorgeous Fairytale ones are my favourite. These make a great stocking filler at £4.99 or a gift for a little one. Do check out the rest of this site for some fab and unusual gifts.
Wooden toys are always well received with any child and parent. They look great, are well made and are classic. I have never seen or had anything from Le Toy Van, but it won’t be the last. We received the Carriage & Unicorn with Fairy and it’s gorgeous. Aria loved playing with this and I loved playing with her with it. It reminded me of my flower fairies I had as a child and loved. This is sweet, simple, well made and perfect. I think it is a toy that will be played with for years to come and one that could be handed down to the grandchildren. Wooden toys last and are lovely to look at. These I highly recommend.
I am a big doll fan and this is a gift that I thought would be a gift for Aria to keep for years to come. Le-Lalla are a company which allow you to design a doll to look like your child and give them matching dresses. She’s adorable isn’t she. She has the red hair to match. Her dress is gorgeous and came with one for Aria to wear also. She is a little small for it just now, but will fit into it soon I am sure. Much better to be too big than too small isn’t it? I think this is a doll you will keep rather than being an everyday play with doll. It is well made and looks great. I feel this would make a great gift. There are loads of different options to chose from, hair colours, eyes, etc and various different outfits for every occasion for both the doll and your child. A little mini me for your child. You can ever purchase more clothes for gifts in the years to come. The doll has a lot of attention to detail and is a unique and stunning gift. A great gift from a grandparent or parent for their child.
We’ve been big fans of WOW Toys for many years now. The boys loved them when they were little and still do. They are bright, colourful, very well made and best of all, they don’t need batteries. If you haven’t seen their toys, I recommend you check them out. You won’t be disappointed. I got a set of their bath toys for Aria at Easter time and think they are excellent which is why I thought I’d feature them here. They are cute little boats which float very well, squirt out water and have little guys that fit in the boats. Perfect for bath time fun. The WOW Bathtime Buddies are a lot of fun and make a great Christmas gift, who doesn’t love a bath toy.
A great stocking filler or gift for a little one is Little Grippers. These are the most amazing socks ever. What’s so special about them I hear you ask? Well they have a special stay on technology. They have a natural, adhesive silicon which is 100% natural and hypoallergenic. This means that toddlers and baby’s are unable to pull their socks off. They stay up, no more slouching, they look good and are well made. Not only that, but they wash fantastically and last for years. I’ve used these for over 6 months now and look as good as new. They also do great school socks and football socks. I can’t recommend these enough. A great little gift that’s practical and looks great.
Another of my practical and great looking gifts I am recommending for toddlers if you are not wanting to go down the toy route is Start Rite Shoes. Start Rite shoes can be ordered in 1/2 sizes which is great and they very well made. The shoes all look great, are a great price and have a lot of protection in the sole. I think these would make a great gift for any toddler. They get so many toys don’t they which is why I thought I’d add something to my list that isn’t a toy. Aria has had a few pairs of these now and I think they are excellent. A lovely little gift.
Mega Bloks First Builders are a great range for toddlers. They are simple and easy to build with, a great size for little hands and are bright and colourful. The ones I thought stood out are the Build ‘N’ Splash which allow your little one to build and have splashy fun. The water spills down the blocks and it’s fun to watch. At an RRP of £14.99 I think this is great value and your toddler will be giggling away. We also love the Mega Blocks First Builders 123 Learning train. This is great fun and comes in it’s own storage box, another bonus. The train can be built and played with, then as the child grows they can use the number fun and images for a learning experience. Two toys in one and at an RRP of £14.99 I think is excellent. We love Mega Bloks and think they are a lot of fun.
A cute alternative to a baby doll is Minnie My First Doll. She is soft, cute and interacts with you. Your toddler can feed her baby food, give her a dummy or bottle. She cries, makes noises as if she is eating and drinking her bottle. She also sings and talks to you. She’s very cute and makes a great first doll. She comes with all the accessories you need for some role playing fun for toddlers.
