Wrapping Christmas present used to be one of my favourite things to do in the run up to Christmas, but since having children, especially three and who all have their birthdays within a month of Christmas, wrapping gets a bit tedious. I used to love to wrap my present with bows and ribbon and have them looking all fancy and special under the tree. I still do that with one or two, but I quickly learnt that children don’t really care about bows and ribbon, it just added to time it took to get into the gift. Don’t get me wrong, seeing your child’s face light up, when they get the present they have been wishing for is the best thing ever. And so is the build up to the big day.
Now, I have found something that will bring back the joy of Christmas gift wrapping. What you might ask? Well it’s this handy little device by Scotch Tape. It is awesome, works really well, isn’t expensive and it makes wrapping go a lot quicker and neater into the bargain.
Cool isn’t it. This nifty little gadget is filled by refill strips, which are simple and easy to insert and replace. I thought they might be a bit fiddly, but no I was wrong. You pull the strip, stick it on to your parcel and away you go with the next one. No more getting tangled up in sellotape, trying to cut it and it twists. Driving you nuts and it sticks everywhere. No more cutting bits of tapes and sticking them to the table and pulling off paint, etc. This is simple, effective and works.
Next time you go to wrap presents, get out the wrapping paper, scissors, sticky tags and the essential Scotch Pop Up Tape Dispenser and away you go. I don’t use tags for the kids presents but for other people’s gifts I have leaned over the years that tags fall off, I now use sticker tags, these are great. Fun to write on and if you have any extras the kids can use them as stickers.
Don’t scrimp on paper, this makes wrapping harder, use extra and it helps with awkward shaped gifts. There will be no corners sticking out this way. I always buy one colour of wrapping paper per child, so there is no mix up in gifts and I know what each child has. This is one of my biggest tips on wrapping, my next is get yourself a Scotch Pop Up Tape. You will breeze through your gift wrapping in no time. Leaving you plenty of time for a little treat. These have made my wrapping presents life a joy.
Have a look at the 3M Scotch Facebook page and Twitter Account for more information on their fantastic products and also to find out more about National Wrapping Day which is on 14th December. I will be back to tell you more about this day, watch this space.
