A few weekends ago we went to see Disney on Ice Celebrates 100 Years of Magic, which if you want to go and I would highly recommend it, you can find out dates on my Disney on Ice post. We met up with Yummy Mummy Flabby Tummy aka Laura and her gorgeous family at Braehead Area and went to watch Disney perform the ultimate magic on ice and watch our children’s faces light up. Even the older ones who are thinking they are a little too cool to love Disney. Well they did and we have the pictures to prove it.
I have seen several Disney on Ice shows over the years, starting from when I was about 12 and I have loved them. They are definitely a treat for me, not just the kids. I really do enjoy them immensely and my heart fills with emotion when I see my beloved Disney characters on the ice. Disney really know how to put on a show and celebrating 100 years of magic was no exception. I have to say this was the best one I have ever seen, I did not think I’d say that, but it really was.
This one was different from ones I’ve seen in the past. There were characters and acts you don’t normally see out there. Yes there were the Disney Princess’ and Toy Story, but this was so much more. They acted out Mulan, had a spectacular it’s a Small World Rendition, they even had Stitch out there with his eclectic guitar. Not forgetting to mention the sweet story of Pinocchio with Jiminy Cricket and who doesn’t love Timon and Pumba. The Incredible’s also made an appearance and made us all laugh and then Finding Nemo had us all at the edge of our seats. There really was something out there for everyone, both new to Disney and having loved Disney over the years.
Mickey Mouse is always a spectacular host and he most definitely stole Aria’s heart, she’s been obsessed ever since.
I cannot recommend Disney on Ice highly enough, it isn’t the cheapest day out, but it will give you so many wonderful memories for years to come and fill your heart with so much emotion. I love Disney and I love Disney on Ice. I cannot wait to go back. Have you seen Disney on Ice? I’d love to know what you think?
Disclaimer:- I was given a family ticket to see Disney on Ice, but I’m a huge fan and would have went anyway.
