Last week was National Parents Week, which ran from the 20th-26th October this was started to highlight that in fact parents need a break. Yes we do. What do you do when you need a break? I enjoy reading and I also enjoy catching up on some American TV shows, these are my guilty pleasures. But I have FoMo, what to do? FoMo means Fear of Missing Out. I need not fear for I have Netflix and I can sit down with my husband and catch up on all the latest TV shows and find some new ones.
We all know that having children means that our “me” time is cut back, but we need to make the most of it when we can. My husband and I always try to catch a few hours during the week and one night at the weekend to sit down together chat and watch a film or some TV shows. Breaking Bad was one of those shows that everyone raved about, it was all they talked about at work, the mums at the school gate and we hadn’t seen yet. We felt like we were missing out. Netflix allowed us to watch the entire series back to back.
One of my biggest FoMo fears was Orange is the New Black. Everyone was talking about it, online, twitter, the school mums and my friends. And I was missing out. What an amazing show. If you haven’t watched it yet you must. I haven’t watched it all, I’m only half way through the first series, but it’s awesome.
Since today is Halloween why not watch something a little creepy and a bit different. This show is nothing like anything I’ve ever watched before. I sucks you in and sends shivers up your spine. That show is American Horror Story. Have you seen it?
What have you been watching on Netflix recently? Am I missing anything?
