LONDON, SEPTEMBER 2012 – Britax, the leader in child safety, has unveiled its new super-sleek pushchair for the fashion conscious mum. Exuding quality, the Britax affinity was created in conjunction with one of Europe’s leading designers and is as elegant as it is practical. Suitable from birth, its minimalist design gives it a distinctive, modern look, but without compromising on comfort, safety or ease of use.
Its stylish lines are centred on a lightweight aluminium chassis that has an effortless and intuitive folding system that automatically locks. Further simplifying life for parents it comes with integrated CLICK & GO® adaptors so it easily converts from pushchair seat to carrycot or infant carrier. Designed for life and style it has adjustable rear suspension, air-filled rear wheels and a height adjustable handle to ensure maximum comfort for both children and parents.
The cool look and feel of the Britax affinity comes to life through the superior finish of custom-developed soft goods and the precision made all-aluminium chassis. Made for parents preferring a tailored solution, rather than the off-the-peg option, the Britax affinity allows them to select one out of three chassis colours and a colour pack to fit with their personal tastes.
With such a desirable pushchair Britax wanted to limit the chance of the Britax affinity becoming part of the £60million* UK trade in stolen pushchairs. Therefore, it has been created with a unique theft protection system to provide parents with peace of mind. Each pushchair has its own individual code, similar to a car Vehicle Information Number (VIN), which owners register online. Anyone can then determine whether or not a specific Britax affinity is still with its correct owner – therefore, making it a less attractive option for thieves as re-sale is made tougher.
Mark Bennett, Child Safety Expert at Britax, commented, “From the outset our aim was to take pushchair design to a new level. The Britax affinity combines style, practicality and safety in a way no other pushchair on the market does. Also our new theft protection system will help parents with ease of mind by making it very hard to sell on a potentially stolen Britax affinity”
The Britax affinity can be used with children up to 17kgs meaning that parents don’t have to spend more money purchasing another pushchair when their child grows older. It has a fully reversible and adjustable seat with multiple recline positions, to accommodate the different requirements parents and children have.
Finally it has a spacious shopping basket so whether you’re getting a fascinator from Selfridges or fruit from Sainsbury’s you’ll have room for all your shopping.
The Britax affinity will be available in the UK from March 2013 for RRP £360 – distribution to be confirmed.
Optional extra colour packs £48 including a set pad, a canopy, basket liner and an apron in the same colour
