Review - Abba You Can Dance for Wii

I was an 80's child born late 70's and grew up listening to ABBA played by my mother, among other crazy songs. However, ABBA are the only ones I ever liked and still do. Nothing better than having a wee boogie to Mamma Mia or Waterloo. So when I was asked to review ABBA You Can Dance published by Ubisoft® I jumped at the chance. ABBA You can Dance is from the creators of the award-winning Just Dance® franchise and Michael Jackson The Experience, so you know it's going to be a good one.

Having time off with the family over the Christmas period gave us some time to try out games like this. You can play with up to four players or sing along. We did the dance one and all 4 of us yes including hubby gave it a good go. My little 5 year old was belting out unrecognisable words along with the two year old and at some point along the way, both hubby and I were getting our butt's kicked by said 5 year old.

So what's ABBA You Can Dance got then, there are 25 of ABBA's awesome hits, which have been digitally remastered, you can do the You Can Dance part which is what we did and dance for fun or setup a challenge, there is a Mini-Musical section which allows you to perform a story through the music of ABBA, there is a very cool sing a long section where you can sing along, traditional Karaoke style (you need the wii-compatible microphone for this) which can be a lot of fun, especially when the girls are round and a couple of glasses of wine have been drunk, you know how it is and there is also some very cool music videos, live concert footage, etc of the ABBA people themselves. It's great to watch and very interesting.

The moves aren't too difficult, so anyone can join in. This is one for all generations young and old. Get it and you'll love it.
