Review - Just Dance Kids

From the makers of the successful Just Dance games, Ubisoft brings us Just Dance Kids. Just Dance Kids is suitable for children over the age of three which is perfect for my little monkeys. They loves playing games on the games consoles but some are a bit too complicated for them to understand, this however is perfect. Easy to use, setup and have a lot of fun. 

The dance moves are simple and easy for the children to pick up, the coaches on the screen are kids too so it's not like the children are trying to copy adult moves. With colourful and fun backgrounds. One of the good things about it being designed for children is that we don't have to worry about the dodgy lyrics which are on songs these days, not necessarily bad but not ones you want your child saying. There is none of that here. 

We had such fun playing this as a family, competing for the highest score or ending up in fits of giggles on the floor . You can play up to 4 player on the Wii perfect for us, same with the PS3 or 2 players on the Kinnect. The different modes are fun too, there is shake and freeze, shaking up the controller for extra points. Daddy used to try this to cheat! Exercise for the whole family, myself included. What a great workout this is and fun, so much fun. 

My little one Tyler just loved Five Little Monkeys, whereas my oldest Lucas Frere Jacques since he couldn't believe there was a song on there that he had been learning in French class. Jingle bells is the favourite just now which has been played over and over. They aren't quite into the pop hits yet but they do enjoy dancing away to them, even if they have no idea who they are. 

I really cannot rate this game highly enough for pre-school children upwards, there is a song there that will suit everyone. It is not too expensive and should be on every child's Christmas wish list this year. Lots of fun to be had time and time again.
