The Stealing Phoenix blog Tour stops here today. I am so excited as this is one of my favourite books this year. I love Yves and Phee and I must be Joss Stirling's number one fan. If you don't believe me check out my gushing review of this wonderful book.
My stop is Yves' playlist for Phoenix, and what a playlist is it. Here you go:-
Yves’ playlist for Phoenix
My darling Phee,
I know you have a lot of catching up with music to do now you have your first (legally owned) iPod, so here are some tracks to get you started.
1. Billionaire (featuring Bruno Mars) – you heard me sing it, now hear the original.
2. A-Punk (Vampire Weekend) – to get you ready for American college life.
3. Set fire to the third bar (Snow Patrol & Martha Wainwright) – I think you can guess why the message of this song might be very relevant to us – and it’s a duet.
4. Set fire to the rain (Adele) – hmm, while we are on the subject of fire, this reminds me of a certain kiss…
5. Dear Life (Anthony Hamilton) – the perfect listening for those mellow evenings sitting on the deck and watching the sun set, and the message: ‘I became somebody through loving you…’
6. You’ve got the love (Florence and the Machine) – to remind you I’ll always be there when things get tough. You’ve definitely got my love.
7. Clarinet Blues (Bobby Gordon) – now you need a little jazz on your playlist. I’ll play this one to you myself one day.
8. Come away with me (Nora Jones) – it is what I’m asking you to do but she puts it better.
9. Savin’ Me (Nickelback) – a taste of rock and roll and the message fits too.
10. Hey there, Delilah (Plain White T’s) – swap the name for Phoenix and imagine me singing it to you…
With all my love
Yves XXX
Next stop on the tour, tomorrow is Heaven, Hell and Purgatory
