My boys love playing apps on my iPhone, I don't let them do it too often, but when they do I like them to be fun but also educational. First thing in the morning, when I am half asleep, I usually let them take turns until I come too in the morning. I am so not a morning person. So when I was offered a chance to review My 1st JCB app I thought this would be perfect for them.
JCB is from the construction company, which have branched out into toys and games for children. Having several of the little trucks, my boys adore these guys. We have some of the talking ones, so it was nice to hear their voices come to life in the app.
I was very impressed with the app and actually played it a few times myself, there are so many games to choose from there is little chance of anyone getting bored of it. Being a sucker for a memory game, I played away at this for more time than I should have. Got to keep that old grey matter working, haven't I?
There are 9 different games for the children to play, create, dot to dot, painting, matching, memory, jigsaws, action, sorting and racing. My oldest who is 4 loves the memory and the racing games the best. My little one who is 2 loves the painting and jigsaws. I watched them both play one day and was amazed at how well they played and got the games correct.
The app is bright, colourful and full of fun characters. With a wide range of games, all of which are very easy to navigate around and can pose a bit of a challenge, but not too much that they will get frustrated. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for an educational but fun game. At £1.99 I think it is good value for money. You can purchase this app from the iTunes store.
