(Amazon):-Ever
felt like your office colleagues might actually be zombies? Call ZombieBusters
Extermination! The Zombie Apocalypse has been good to Sarah and David. Their
marriage is better than ever. They communicate well, share responsibilities,
and they've also started a business. ZombieBusters - for all your zombie
extermination needs. There are lots of zombies and that means lots of
customers...Except one of them doesn't want the zombies dead, he wants them
alive and ready for experimentation. Mad scientists make for difficult clients
and, this time, Sarah and David might have bitten off more than they can chew.
Review:-Sarah
and David are a young married couple who survived the zombie outbreak, it’s three
months later and they are now running a zombie extermination business called
ZombieBusters Extermination Inc, they even have a van with their name on it. They are happily going about their days
killing zombies for clients in exchange for food and supplies when they start
hearing rumours of a different kind of zombie one that seems to be stronger,
faster and more aware. The next job offer
they get could change the world they live in. Dr Barnes or “the mad scientist” as
David calls him, wants them to catch zombies for him to test his miracle cure
on. David is not too keen on this or Dr Barnes and I must admit I kind of
agreed with David, there was just something about him I didn’t like, but Sarah
wants to help save the world and eventually David agrees. On the way they meet
a little boy who seems to have survived on his own the last three months who
they call “The Kid” he is very smart if a little bratty but they let him tag
along. All is not as it seems though and David soon realises this but Sarah
needs some convincing.
I
thought this was an easy enjoyable read, a bit gross at times and wouldn’t say
I laughed out loud as it says on the cover, but it did make me smile. There
were some sad moments too when Sarah is thinking about all the things she
misses from BZ (Before Zombie) like hot showers and croissants, and all the
things she took for granted. Living on beans and pop tarts in the survivor
camps just isn’t the same. I liked how Sarah would talk to the reader
throughout the book and that the chapters all ended with a mini cliff-hanger
making you want to keep reading, which I did. There are a few twists also if a
little predictable although one I didn’t see coming but that could just be me.
This
is the first zombie book I’ve ever read but really enjoyed it although I kept
thinking what if this really happened…scary.
Flip
This Zombie is the second book in Jesse Peterson’s Living with the Dead Series.
I haven’t read the first book, Married with Zombies, but I found that it didn’t
matter and found it quite easy to follow and didn’t feel like I was lost. I can’t
wait to read the third instalment Eat, Slay, Love.
