This is my entry for the lovely Josie's Writing Workshop over at Sleep is for the Weak.
Leather Jacket
I see you standing there,
In your black leather jacket,
Standing tall,
Standing proud.
Walking up and down the street,
Everyone knows who you are,
You are everyone's friend,
I am proud to know you.
You give me a hug,
I smell that leather,
You know I don't like it,
So you hug me tighter.
This is how I remember you,
This is the way I want to remember you,
Tall, proud and wearing this jacket,
I love that jacket.
I see you standing there,
In your black leather jacket,
Standing tall,
Standing proud.
Walking up and down the street,
Everyone knows who you are,
You are everyone's friend,
I am proud to know you.
You give me a hug,
I smell that leather,
You know I don't like it,
So you hug me tighter.
This is how I remember you,
This is the way I want to remember you,
Tall, proud and wearing this jacket,
I love that jacket.
Hope you enjoyed my poem, why not check out the rest of the entries over at Sleep is for the weak.
