Description:- This spine chilling book takes the reader into the realms of horror all the more believable because it seems reality not fantasy. The Imprints enter the soul of the narrator with determined power and describe each of their emotions in vivid detail. It is impossible not to be deeply involved, revolted and yet entranced at the same time as the linking of the personalities becomes apparent. Desperation, self destruction and fear are superimposed on the beauty of the rose with its blood red petals. Each bloom shows the astral image of the various characters as their lives have been lived, giving some hope for the future and the lessons offered to the soul as it evolves to enlightenment and bewitching knowledge.
Review:- Once you pick this book up, you will not put it down. Not only will you read it in one sitting, but you won't be able to stop thinking about it. This is one of those books which makes you stop and think about what happens when you die. This to me seems possible and chilling at the same time. The cover alone will unnerve you.
The debut novel may be small, but it is powerful. The story is about how the soul evolves from life to another. This starts with Hercular Rose going through her past imprints in the library of souls, from an eight year old girl, to a mother, then a troubled man, to Hercular Rose and then bringing them all together. Some characters are hard to read about, but it makes the person who they are and you understand more about why people turn out to be the way they are.
If you like horror or are interested by the afterlife, this book is for you. It is a short, but powerful and will leave you wanting more.
Thank you to Annie Frame for writing such an amazing book and for sending me a copy of it to read. Watch out for the review of her latest book The Quiet Road coming soon.
